The Ranch: Part One

So our story starts with me. I needed a vacation REALLY bad! I thought I didn't want to ever go back to our family ranch again, but...I saw some pictures that relatives had on Facebook of their trip there and...I got a "wild hair" and said, "Let's go!" I asked Dad if it was ok to go up for the weekend and asked my husband if he could make it work for work and...we were on the way!

     We had to drag some of the 4-wheelers out of the way to drive the others...Damara doing what she dreamed of doing for a long time! Emily had told her all about it & she was even wearing the same sweatshirt Emily used to wear there!

Emily loved the sweet fragrance of the wild roses...they were everywhere!

It was such a beautiful morning, and we were so happy to be there. We took LOTS of pictures.

                         These flowers remind me of Mom...bittersweet memories!
                BTY: This was June, 15th...Mom's earth birthday! I miss you, Mom!
